The Sacrament of the Eucharist is the heart of Catholic life and worship, where we encounter Jesus Christ truly present in His Body and Blood. During the celebration of the Mass, bread and wine are transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit into the Body and Blood of Christ—a mystery known as transubstantiation. In receiving the Eucharist, we are united with Jesus and nourished spiritually, deepening our union with Him and with the Church.

The Eucharist is rooted in Jesus' words at the Last Supper when He took bread, blessed it, and said, "Take and eat; this is my body" (Matthew 26:26), and then took a cup of wine, saying, "Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant" (Matthew 26:27-28). By receiving the Eucharist, we share in this covenant of love and partake in the sacrifice that Jesus offered for our salvation.

In Communion, we encounter the living Christ, who strengthens us to live as His disciples. The Eucharist calls us to love, serve, and forgive others as Christ loves us, transforming our lives and drawing us closer to the heavenly banquet that we hope to one day share with Him in eternity. This sacrament renews us spiritually, fills us with grace, and invites us to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world.

We invite everyone who is prepared to partake in this sacrament with reverence and devotion, experiencing the profound mystery of God’s love made present in the Eucharist—the “source and summit” of our faith.

El Sacramento de la Eucaristía es el centro de la vida y la adoración católica, donde encontramos a Jesucristo realmente presente en Su Cuerpo y Su Sangre. Durante la celebración de la Misa, el pan y el vino se transforman, por el poder del Espíritu Santo, en el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo—un misterio conocido como transubstanciación. Al recibir la Eucaristía, nos unimos con Jesús y nos alimentamos espiritualmente, profundizando nuestra unión con Él y con la Iglesia.

La Eucaristía tiene sus raíces en las palabras de Jesús en la Última Cena, cuando tomó el pan, lo bendijo y dijo: "Tomen y coman; esto es mi cuerpo" (Mateo 26:26), y luego tomó una copa de vino, diciendo: "Beban todos de ella, porque esta es mi sangre de la alianza" (Mateo 26:27-28). Al recibir la Eucaristía, participamos en esta alianza de amor y en el sacrificio que Jesús ofreció por nuestra salvación.

En la Comunión, encontramos a Cristo vivo, quien nos fortalece para vivir como Sus discípulos.
