On Good Friday, our parish came together in solemn remembrance of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the most sacred and sorrowful day of the year—when love was poured out completely on the Cross.
Through Scripture, silence, and veneration of the Cross, we reflected on Christ’s suffering and the depth of His mercy. In a powerful way, we were reminded that His sacrifice was made for each of us—so that sin and death would not have the final word.
At St. Theresa, many came to venerate the Cross, bowing or kissing it as a sign of love and gratitude. The church was filled with reverence and stillness, as we stood at the foot of the Cross with Mary, John, and the Church throughout the world.
Though this day is marked by sorrow, it is also filled with hope, because we know that Easter is coming—and with it, the victory of life over death.
“By His wounds, we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
